Chorley and District

Welcome to Chorley NUT

My name is Nick Dunn and I am secretary for Chorley and surrounding districts.
I support NUT members locally, who can contact me (secretary@chorley-and-district.nut.org.uk) with any particular concerns/issues. Should you prefer to speak to me, you will find my number on your membership card. .

Chorley is a thriving local association of the National Union of Teachers, where members matter. Chorley NUT believes in keeping members informed and updated. We hold general meetings each term where members can chat, share concerns and find out about current NUT and educational issues. These meetings have become increasingly popular and are regarded by regular attenders as social events!
Our meetings are held at the Hartwood Hall Hotel, Chorley and members enjoy a free meal in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Why not come along and see for yourself ? We are sure that you will return!
They also provide the opportunity to discuss any urgent issues from schools or personal concerns confidentially.

The Reason: This is a fantastic opportunity to meet other teachers from Lancashire, whilst learning new skills and having a cracking time! This year we will return to Borwick Hall, in the north of the county, to experience some out-door education and team building exercises as well as learning how the union works for you, and how you can get involved with your union!
