About the Lancashire Division of the NUT (National Union of Teachers)

Lancashire Division was created to negotiate with Lancashire County Council on behalf of members of the Union.  It therefore covers exactly the same area as the County does.

There are 11 district associations within the Division which control the Division through delegates sent to the Division's Annual General Meeting.  The Division helps to enhance and coordinate the work of the associations.

Members elect an Executive which meets monthly to enact policy between full delegate meetings and to hear from our National Executive Member and other officers.  The Lancashire Executive works to help members and move forward Union policy in Lancashire.
